Ronald E.  Bridner
On May 29, 2018, Ronald E. Bridner, beloved husband of Betty L. (Nazelrod) Bridner, loving father of Jeffrey Lee Bridner and his wife Patty and Donna Lynn Cochran and her husband John, cherished grandfather of Lisa Marie Holt and Jennifer Lynn Ivester and her husband Benjamin, great grandfather of Reagan Marc Holt, Grant Christian Holt and Leland John Holt and Tyler David Ivester.

Born October 28, 1932, in Ellicott City/Rockland, he was the son of the late Alvin B. and Leona E. Bridner and son-in-law of the late Harold L. and Ozella Nazelrod. A U.S. Army Korean War veteran, he worked for and retired from the Transco/Williams Co. He greatly loved and cherished his wife of 65 years along with his family and was devoted to their happiness. He was always willing to help anyone in need and his kindness and devotion to others made him the definition of a good man. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He loved his church and was a lifelong member of Gary Memorial United Methodist Church in Daniels.

“Ronnie” and Betty loved to travel and were regulars at many of the local restaurants. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting during his younger years, NASCAR Racing, Westerns, history, old cars, and a good meal. He enjoyed having projects and making things and each year would look forward to constructing his train garden at Christmas.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his brothers Alvin Jr., and Robert Bridner, his sister Peggy Justice Feaga, brothers-in-law Robert Justice, Warren “Sonny” Nazelrod, Clarence “Buddy” Nazelrod, and Harold “Snook” Nazelrod. Along with his immediate family he is survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Debbie Nazelrod, his sisters-in-law June Bridner, Constance Bridner, Marian Nazelrod, Dorothy Nazelrod Kerwin, and Elaine Nazelrod and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Slack Funeral Home, P.A., 3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m., with additional viewing from 10:30-11 at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 2029 Daniels Rd., Ellicott City, MD 21043.
